Euro Tour - Slovenia (KNK)

The KNK longboard camp was held on August 14th through 22nd in Slovenia. It was on an amazing road cut into a steep mountain. It was incredible to skate, featuring a wide variety of fast turns and hairpins. Only the top half of the full road was finished. When this road is complete it will be ridiculous. This also meant that the road was not yet open to the public. It was smoother then a baby’s bottom. Luckily because of this it barely wore down wheels, for such a long event I recall only using one or two sets. Unfortunately because it was so new it was also quite grippy, interesting at first but easy enough to get used to.

In all there was a few hiccups in the event, I believe this was their first large year. But for the most part they were fixed in a timely manor. Such as getting an additional shuttle bus and ambulance so we could ride more.

At the end of the event they had a little race and Luke Melo won camp. luckily for him Justin Readings, Max Bellesteros, and myself had been banished. We would have given Luke a run for his money. Well their would have been money (advertised 1,000 Euros) but they had to use that to get the additional shuttle and ambulance.
